About us
Woof on the hill was founded in early 2024 by Arianwen Bacmeister, quickly joined by Rowan Cottee when he took a break from the IT industry. Arianwen hired a dog walker in 2018 and thought “What a wonderful job that must be!”. And so a few years later, driven by her love for animals, Arianwen decided to jump head first into this industry after many years of dreaming about it. Yes, Woof on the hill is a very fresh business. But it is driven by a pair of pet lovers with a lot of experience between them.
Not only have they owned most pets under the sun and have experience outside of conventional pets. They are pet first aid trained, DBS checked and fully insured. Click their names below to know a little bit more about them.

Founder.
My name is Arianwen Bacmeister, I grew up in North Wales but moved to Wyton a few years back. I was always that kid in school who had a myriad of pets. Growing up I had dogs, cats, chickens, parakeets, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, geckos, sheep, turtles and many fish tanks.
Because of this, I have had the privilege of honing my skills in handling and caring for a diverse range of animals, with a particular focus on dogs. From disobedience training, to dog shows and sheep herding, shaping me into an experienced dog handler and trainer.

My name is Rowan Cottee, I grew up in Essex but moved to Wyton a few years ago with Arian and our 2 cats. l volunteered at an animal rescue centre in Essex, gaining valuable knowledge on different animal species that helped me grow my understanding of animal behaviour and well-being. With a gentle hand, I helped look after injured wildlife that had been brought to the rescue. From sick Hedgehogs to orphaned Pigeon chicks, I helped many lives get back on their feet and be released back into the wild.
I also grew up with cats, rats and dogs. But since living with Arian, I have had the pleasure of caring for many other pets too, from the feathery kind, to the scaly ones and everything in-between!
